Verve · Privacy Consensus

🔒 your gear, your light studies, your parameters — always yours, always local

1 We collect nothing

Verve does not collect, track, or share any personal information. There are no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no marketing trackers. We don’t even know if you opened the app — because that information never leaves your device.

Everything you create with Verve — lighting diagrams, gear lists, exposure notes, composition sketches — stays exclusively in your iOS device’s local storage. We have no servers, no cloud, no databases. Your creative process is yours alone.

2 100% on‑device storage

All data you enter into Verve is stored locally using iOS system frameworks. This means:

  • 📷 your camera bodies, lenses, and accessories database lives only in the app’s sandbox;
  • 💡 every lighting simulation preset, every composition sketch is saved to your device’s internal storage;
  • 📊 shooting parameters (aperture, shutter, ISO, etc.) are never transmitted anywhere;
  • 🔐 iCloud sync is not used — we intentionally avoid any cloud to keep your data 100% under your control.

If you delete Verve from your device, all associated data is removed according to iOS standard app deletion. You can manually back up your gear list via iTunes file sharing if you wish — but that’s your choice, not ours.

3 Camera & photo library (only with permission)

Verve may request access to your camera or photo library solely for features you explicitly use — such as attaching a reference image to a gear item or capturing a quick lighting setup sketch.

  • 📸 Camera access: used only when you tap “take photo” — we never scan, analyse, or upload anything.
  • 🖼️ Photo library access: used only when you choose “import from library” — Verve does not browse or collect any image metadata.

All images you import or capture stay on your device and are never sent to any server. You can revoke permission anytime in iOS Settings.

4 Children’s privacy (irrelevant but we care)

Since Verve collects no personal information whatsoever, it does not knowingly gather any data from children under 13 (or any age). The app can be used by photographers of all ages, but because we have no accounts and no tracking, there is simply no data to concern about. If you’re a parent and have questions, feel free to contact us.

5 You are in complete control

Because your data never leaves your device:

  • ✅ you don’t need to request deletion — just delete the app or remove its contents;
  • ✅ there is no account to close, no profile to erase;
  • ✅ we cannot access, sell, or share anything about you — because we have nothing.

If you ever contact us via email (shiweo23verve82392@zohomail.cn), we will only use your email to reply. We never add addresses to any mailing list or marketing tool. After resolving your inquiry, we delete your email manually — no automated retention.

6 Changes to this privacy consensus

If we ever need to update this page (for example, to clarify a point or reflect an iOS change), we will post the new version with an updated date. But our core promise never changes: Verve will always be local‑first, private by default, and free from tracking.

This version is effective March 11, 2026.
